Day 36 – 24 May 2009 – Boatbuilding in Full Swing

IMG_0172The kit of plywood parts for the boat arrived on Friday.  The kit, designed by  Jordan Boats in Fife, Scotland was cut by a carpentry company in Maine using CNC routing and shipped down to Texas.  The kit contains sheets of marine plywood, for the planks, and sheets of MDF with the moulds.

IMG_0177Once the moulds were mounted on the box, you could see the shape and size of the boat.  I think she looks beautiful!
